Busy with beeswax

Yay! I finally got off my butt and and tried out my new Ranger Melt Pot. I had to make a yellow- themed ATC for swap-bot so I dipped it in melted beeswax for an extra golden glow. Not the most innovative ATC I have ever made, but it's a start.

I bought one of the extra clip-in pans so I can leave my beeswax in it for next time. I also found a great tip about beeswax-y brushes. Instead of trying to clean it or chucking it away just leave it with your cooled beeswax and next time you heat it up dip the brush in to re-melt it.

Apologies and Christmas Wishes

The last few weeks I have been very neglectful of my blog, blog challenges and Trimcraft friends , my Flickr page... In fact, I've pretty much been neglecting my crafting altogether. No particular reason; I just don't feel very inspired. I did manage to cobble together some Christmas cards, which I was quite pleased with (I don't much enjoy making cards, to be honest) but forgot to photograph them. D'oh.

Hopefully, I will feel refreshed in the New Year. Hope so. Because I have a number of swap challenges lined up. And a new melt pot to play with (I promised Piddawinkle - who is getting one too - I would not even switch it on until Christmas).

Anyway, in the absence of anything pretty to look at, I wish all my craft pals the merriest of Christmasses and a fabulous 2009.
